I Centogusti, Anghiari’s food festival. By Sophie

“I Centogusti Dell’ Appenino” means “one hundred tastes of the Appenines”; Appenines are the mountains around here. This is Anghiari’s fall local foods festival. We wound our way through the alleys of Anghiari and there was food in every nook and cranny! There was artisan chocolate (we had cioccolata calda which is cups of melted chocolate); there were piles of all kinds of meats: salamis, prociutto, mortadella, head cheese; there were all kinds of cheeses; homemade pastas; mushrooms; fruit and all the local specialties and Anghiari was packed with people celebrating local food! I hope that this gives you a little taste of a very yummy festival!
