Olive harvest at Brent’s
We spent our last week at Valle di Mezzo harvesting olives. It is pleasant work. From ladders and branches, you monkey around in the trees with rakes and hands stripping the olives from the branches. They fall on to a big net spread around the base. Olive trees have years with lots of olives and years with fewer; this is a fewer year at Brent’s. But the oil is more tasty on a fewer year, they say.
